Caleb Byrd Promoted to COO

Caleb Byrd is our first chief operating officer. He was promoted as Pentecom transitioned to an employee-owned company.

Caleb joined Pentecom in 2020 with an impressive resume that told the story of even more impressive results. For example, when he served as O’Reilly Auto Parts’ district corporate manager in Palestine, Texas, he and 220 team members at 12 stores exceeded sales goals and grew revenue by 20 percent.

In his first Pentecom role, Caleb was a systems analyst and project lead. Less than a year later, he was promoted to technical program manager, where he gave strategic direction and leadership while handling a portfolio of projects with a multimillion-dollar budget. He also helped expand Pentecom’s software development department and worked across company divisions to improve how we operate.

“Caleb is a natural leader and demonstrated his skills by gaining the respect of all who work with him,” said Kathy Rainbolt, co-founder and chief executive officer.

Co-founder and chief financial officer Kim Willmott added, “Caleb has complementary leadership skills and a wealth of proven experience, which will help Pentecom reach new levels of growth.”

In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day operations, allowing Kathy and Kim to focus more on continued growth and customer satisfaction. Caleb’s other goals include enhancing operational efficiencies and collaborating on business strategies and employee recruitment.

“We look forward to Caleb bringing his energy, enthusiasm and new ideas to carry on and expand our vision,” said Kathy.

Caleb earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from The University of Texas at Tyler and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in information systems from West Texas A&M University.
